With Mitch and Chris who helped with selecting an awesome fire place for me and Kyle who did an amazing job of installing it! 1 Leg Media307 days agoI cant say enough good things about the team at the Fireplace Center. Last year being a guy, I tried fixing my fireplace issue myself using 'Google and Youtube' ...lol thus I went down to their shop and got parts; they treated me really good not judging me for trying to fix it myself. This year the problem still existed of course .....so I was "TOLD" to call a repair guy. The repair guy "Jason" showed up on time, happy and upbeat. He got to work right away, quickly found the problem as it was a "Gas Leak" super simple fix, cleaned the fireplace and ensure everything was working properly before he left. He was so organized with his tools and really showed he cared about what he did. Kamloops kid. He didn't mind me watching and learning although I wont even bother next time; just call them. He only charged me $208 which I thought was fair. I was SO IMPRESSED<, Believe me I really dont say that alot these days about businesses, usually disappointed. I encourage you to give them a try, you wont be disappointed !! P.S I do wish their shop was more accessible, as getting into their shop for parts really wasn't easy for a guy with mobility issues.+0Posted on Google

Bonnie Braun566 days agoLuckily our daughter and son-in-law took us to The Fireplace Centre on our monthly trip to Kamloops. Mitchell was there to help us with any questions we had. He really knows what he is talking about. We were surprised when he took us downstairs and the variety of fireplaces they have set up is amazing! We took a few weeks to decide and contacted Mitchell. He has been very quick to reply to my email queries and very helpful with all my questions. He gave us a fair quote and absolutely no pressure at any time. I highly recommend this store and especially Mitch if you are shopping for Electric or Gas Fireplaces.

Kyle was very knowledgeable when he came to take measurements for the quote. The installation and finishing (studding and drywall sheets of the bare brick wall) by Kyle and Stan is perfect. Kevin Kinsella691 days agoJD did an annual inspection and addressed my concerns with the initial installation by another Kamloops company. He was professional, detailed, and found some issues I wasn't aware of. He showed me prior to starting what work he would be doing, so it was exactly what I wanted done. I absolutely recommend The Fireplace Centre for routine work or to improve what you have already like me. Replaced 9 dodgy looking fittings down to just a couple, added a gas line shut off at the fireplace (was only in the basement), added a quiet fan and a thermostat. Gord Watling703 days agoTechnician Chef was on time for our appointment. Immediately found the problem with our gas fireplace. He had the replacement parts in the work van already. He fixed the problem and had half hour to spare. So he took the glass off the fireplace, thoroughly cleaned it inside and out, vacuumed out the carbon. cleaned all the surfaces, replaced the artificial coals, rearranged the logs for maximum appeal and heat. Cleaned up after himself and only charged us for the 1 hour service call. I would absolutely use their services again, and request Chef. Very happyPosted on Google

I honestly couldn't be happier. He was so professional, knowledgeable and efficient. The fireplace looks amazing and finally works the way I wanted it to. His respectful, kind, informative self led us to a most pleasing decision. We walked out the same day with the product that was easy to install. Sue Romanick943 days agoWe were delighted to have had a really great experience when our fireplace needed servicing. JD (Jason D) was prompt, efficient, and extremely open to all of our questions. This was meant to be a routine check, but JD discovered a small gas leak, further identified a problem with the glass in front of the fireplace (which we had learned to live with) and informed us it was still under warranty, and would cost us nothing for a replacement glass. JD was very methodical in how he expertly cleaned the logs, even altering their configuration to distribute the flames (which he identified as being too high for the interior). He cleaned and polished the glass (while we await the warranty replacement). In summary, thanks to JD our fireplace is safer and looks better. We highly recommend Fireplace Center and, of course, especially JD, without reservation.Posted on Google

Kc Affleck1002 days agoI live in Blind Bay and had issues with my 19 year old Fireplace so I had it serviced by a local company here. They recommended getting a new fireplace as they don’t fix fireplaces, they just service them. I enquired around in Salmon arm and area but got the same response. I went into Kamloops and talked with Mitchell and he suggested having your technicians look at it instead of spending $6,000 plus installation it would cost me roughly $600 to have it fixed with parts. Well I should have asked technician’s name but he checked it over, cleaned it all out and said it was clogged up after 19 years use and worked perfectly fine! My bill was even lower as I didn’t need any parts!! I was over the moon. Guess where I am going in the future should I eventually need a new fireplace? That’s right! The Fireplace Centre!! Deb Podurgiel1009 days agoThese days, it's difficult to find knowledgeable staff, excellent customer service and quality product all in the same place, but I can tell you that the Fireplace Centre definitely covers it all. Mitch, was extremely helpful with our fireplace problem and gave us a few suggestions to try and diagnose the problem before buying product that may not have necessarily corrected it. His suggestions worked, and we were very happy to save $200. Nice to know that not everyone is out for the almighty buck and are happy to provide genuine customer service. We have found the Blaze king 40 very efficient at maintaining the constant heat circulation temperature throughout our two level split home. We were very impressed with the quick installation turnaround time and the pleasant demeanour and efficiency of your two installers. No challenge was too great for them when met with the unexpected issues connected with removal of old and installation of new and how they rose to it and dealt efficiently with all the hurdles. Dan B1427 days agoI had never bought a fireplace before and had no idea what to expect. The entire process was smooth and efficient. They have a beautiful showroom with knowledgeable sales staff, and the estimator who came to our house explained everything in detail. Our new fireplace was installed yesterday morning, and we are more than happy with the results. They removed our mid 90's sorry excuse for a fireplace and replaced it with a Valor H3. Their appointments are on time, their service workers knowledgeable and efficient. Great people to do business with . I’ll recommend them at any time. We also had no idea our upstairs fireplace glass needed replacing and did so on warrantee ( that we didn’t even know it was still covered) . They went about it and ordered it. miriah 151740 days agoI have an “eclectic” gas fireplace from 1993 installed in my new home. Over the course of a year and a half, the gas fireplace began sooting up like crazy. I contacted an HVAC company I had a great experience with in the past for my furnace and AC to come look at it. $400 later, they couldn’t figure out what was wrong with it. They said since everything seemed to be working well, it must just be at its end of life. I emailed some photos to the Fireplace Centre asking for a quote for a new one, and instead was told they likely knew what the problem was and that my specific model does soot up normally but not to that extent. One service call and some extra silica sand placed properly later, the fireplace is working amazingly, and not creating an inch of soot within an hour of use. I wish I had contacted them when I first noticed the issue. One minor complaint - the price I was quoted and what I was charged in the end was a difference of an additional $20, but it was worth it.Posted on Google

They have spent many visits especially Jason to figure out the issue. Even sending a Napolean rep out with Jason to trouble shoot. We do not live in Kamloops but out if the way on a lakr by Merritt, there service has been exceptional! We are very impressed with everything they are doing. From the first day she called and spoke to the owner, Mark, she has been more than happy with the excellent service. He and his employees are all knowledgeable, efficient and personable. One of our fireplaces only required servicing and a glass door cleaning (which to our surprise looked brand new again). The other fireplace needed to be fully replaced. The choice of product, custom installation and servicing was of the highest quality. Any issue that needed to be resolved was immediately addressed professionally without question. Sandy Soul2706 days agoWhat a great experience! I will admit I was reluctant to take on such a huge project at my cabin! Replacing my pipes, flooring and wood stove and then worried about what to do with everything once the work was done. NOT A PROBLEM! I dealt with the Oh So Knowledgeable men in the showroom and finally made some decisions. In less than a week I had 2 wonderful installers at my door ready to take on any challenge. They knew how to handle everything! They were just amazing from start to finish and ensured that everything they did was explained to me and was exactly to my liking. So aware of different options available to me and conscious of caring for my home throughout the removal and installation of everything! I envisioned soot everywhere and things falling apart in my living room and that was just not the case! These 2 fellows were so efficient and working together on everything, they made the job go by in no time at all with no mess or concerns! The removal and TAKING AWAY of all the pipes and stove itself was so appreciated. My home was clean and perfect as we discussed the many options available to me not only with the installation but the operation and care of my beautiful new stove. They also took the time to explain all aspects of my new stove and how I could get the most out of the unit. The stove is great and the pipes and protective flooring add to the overall look of the room. I love how this stove has changed my life! It is so efficient that my wood consumption has been cut in half. It burns so clean and distributes the heat to even the furthest corners and even keeps me warm over-night! I am a woman over 70 and to have such professionalism and caring shown from start to finish has been a very positive experience. Connie Bilodeau-Duggan3664 days agoVery pleased with everything they had to do. We were putting in an entire brand-new efficient woodstove. We have never had a woodstove in this house before so they had to put in a chimney etc. They were considerate, cleaned up after themselves, fast it was a job that took them a few days, and they had to come from Kamloops to Scotch Creek. I couldn't recommend anybody more... they were great.Posted on Google
